The Dangers of Too Much Sun Exposure and How to Avoid Them

We all know that getting some sun is important for our health, but too much sun exposure can be dangerous. Sunburns, skin cancer, and premature aging are just a few of the risks associated with too much sun. Here are some tips to help you stay safe in the sun and avoid these risks.

1. Wear Sunscreen: Sunscreen is your best defense against the sun’s harmful rays. Make sure to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 before going outside. Reapply every two hours, or more often if you’re swimming or sweating.

2. Wear Protective Clothing: Wearing a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and long-sleeved shirts and pants can help protect your skin from the sun’s rays. Look for clothing labeled with an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating.

3. Seek Shade: Whenever possible, stay in the shade during the peak sun hours of 10am to 4pm. If you’re at the beach, bring an umbrella or beach tent to provide some shade.

4. Avoid Tanning Beds: Tanning beds are not a safe alternative to getting a tan. They emit ultraviolet radiation that can increase your risk of skin cancer.

By following these tips, you can enjoy the sun safely and reduce your risk of sun-related health problems. Remember, the best way to protect your skin is to limit your exposure to the sun and wear sunscreen whenever you’re outside.

Tips for Keeping Your Skin Healthy During Summer Months

Summer is a great time to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine, but it’s important to take care of your skin during these months. Here are some tips to help you keep your skin healthy and looking its best:

1. Wear Sunscreen: Sunscreen is essential for protecting your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Make sure to apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 before going outside and reapply every two hours.

2. Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water helps keep your skin hydrated and healthy. Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water a day.

3. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Try to stay out of direct sunlight during the hottest parts of the day. If you must be outside, wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses to protect your face and eyes.

4. Use Gentle Cleansers: Harsh cleansers can strip your skin of its natural oils, leaving it dry and irritated. Choose a gentle cleanser that is free of harsh chemicals and fragrances.

5. Exfoliate Regularly: Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Use a gentle exfoliating scrub once or twice a week to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy.

6. Moisturize: Moisturizing helps keep your skin hydrated and prevents it from becoming dry and flaky. Choose a moisturizer that is right for your skin type and apply it daily.

By following these tips, you can keep your skin healthy and looking its best during the summer months. Enjoy the sunshine and have fun!

How to Choose the Right Sunscreen for Your Skin Type

Choosing the right sunscreen for your skin type can be tricky. With so many options on the market, it can be hard to know which one is best for you. But don’t worry – we’ve got you covered! Here are some tips to help you find the perfect sunscreen for your skin type.

If you have oily skin, look for a sunscreen that is oil-free and non-comedogenic. This means it won’t clog your pores or cause breakouts. You should also look for a sunscreen that is lightweight and won’t leave a greasy residue.

If you have dry skin, look for a sunscreen that is hydrating and contains moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycerin. These ingredients will help keep your skin hydrated and protected from the sun’s harmful rays.

If you have sensitive skin, look for a sunscreen that is free of fragrances, dyes, and other potential irritants. You should also look for a sunscreen that is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.

No matter what your skin type is, it’s important to choose a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. This will help protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

By following these tips, you can find the perfect sunscreen for your skin type. Remember, sunscreen is an essential part of any skincare routine, so make sure you’re using the right one for you!

The Benefits of Sun Exposure for Healthy Skin

Sun exposure is an important part of maintaining healthy skin. While it’s important to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays, it’s also important to get some sun exposure to reap the benefits. Here are some of the ways that sun exposure can help keep your skin healthy.

Sun exposure helps your body produce Vitamin D. Vitamin D is essential for healthy skin, as it helps your body absorb calcium and phosphorus, which are important for healthy bones and teeth. Vitamin D also helps your body fight off infections and can help reduce inflammation.

Sun exposure can also help reduce the risk of skin cancer. While it’s important to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays, getting some sun exposure can help your body produce more melanin, which is a natural sunscreen that helps protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays.

Sun exposure can also help reduce the signs of aging. Sun exposure helps your body produce more collagen, which helps keep your skin looking young and healthy. Sun exposure can also help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and age spots.

Finally, sun exposure can help improve your mood. Sun exposure helps your body produce more serotonin, which is a hormone that helps regulate your mood. Sun exposure can also help reduce stress and anxiety.

So, while it’s important to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays, it’s also important to get some sun exposure to reap the benefits. Make sure to wear sunscreen and limit your time in the sun, but don’t forget to get some sun exposure to keep your skin healthy.

If you’re looking for a way to overcome tired skin and return a natural skin glow with natural makeup, you’ve come to the right place! Natural makeup is a great way to enhance your natural beauty without the use of harsh chemicals or ingredients. Here are some tips to help you get that natural glow back:

1. Start with a good skincare routine. Make sure you’re cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing your skin regularly. This will help to remove any dirt and debris that can clog your pores and cause your skin to look dull.

2. Use a natural makeup primer. Primers help to create a smooth base for your makeup and can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Look for a primer that is free of harsh chemicals and is made with natural ingredients.

3. Choose natural makeup products. Look for products that are free of parabens, phthalates, and other harsh chemicals. Natural makeup products are usually made with plant-based ingredients that are gentle on the skin.

4. Use a light foundation. Heavy foundations can make your skin look cakey and can make your skin look dull. Instead, opt for a light foundation that will give you a natural glow.

5. Add a touch of blush. Blush can help to give your skin a natural flush of color and can help to brighten up your complexion.

6. Finish with a natural lip color. Choose a lip color that is free of harsh chemicals and is made with natural ingredients. This will help to keep your lips looking healthy and hydrated.

As a busy mom, I totally understand how hard it is to maintain healthy skin when you’re always on the go. Between taking care of the kids, managing the household, and possibly working a full time gig, it can be tough to find the time to prioritize self-care, let alone a skincare routine.

But the truth is, taking care of your skin is important not just for looking good, but also for your overall health. And the good news is, there are some simple things you can do to maintain healthy skin even when you’re busy.

First and foremost, make sure you’re staying hydrated. Drinking enough water is key to keeping your skin hydrated, which in turn helps it look and feel healthy. If you struggle to remember to drink water throughout the day, try carrying a reusable water bottle with you and setting reminders on your phone to take sips throughout the day.

Another easy way to take care of your skin is to simplify your skincare routine. You don’t need a ton of products to have healthy skin. Focus on the basics: a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Look for products that multitask, like a moisturizer with SPF, to save time and streamline your routine.

Finally, don’t underestimate the power of a good night’s sleep. I know it can be tough to get enough sleep when you have little ones to take care of, but making sleep a priority can do wonders for your skin (and your overall health). Try to establish a bedtime routine that helps you wind down and get the rest you need.

Remember, taking care of your skin doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. With a few simple tweaks to your routine and some self-care prioritization, you can maintain healthy, glowing skin even as a busy mom.

Proper skin care is essential for achieving a healthy and radiant complexion. Here are 7 simple beauty glow tips to help you take care of your skin I’ve found helpful:

Cleanse your face twice a day: Cleansing your face twice a day, in the morning and at night, is essential for removing dirt, oil, and makeup that can clog your pores and cause breakouts. Use a gentle cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type.

Exfoliate regularly: Exfoliating your skin once or twice a week can help remove dead skin cells and unclog pores, leaving your skin looking brighter and smoother. Use a gentle exfoliating scrub or a chemical exfoliant that contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs).

Moisturize daily: Moisturizing your skin daily is important for keeping it hydrated and preventing dryness and flakiness. Choose a moisturizer that is appropriate for your skin type and contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and glycerin.

Protect your skin from the sun: Exposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays can cause premature aging, dark spots, and other skin damage. Always wear sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30, and reapply every two hours if you are outside.

Get enough sleep: Getting enough sleep is essential for maintaining healthy skin. Lack of sleep can cause dark circles and under-eye bags, as well as make your skin look dull and tired. Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep per night.

Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water is important for keeping your skin hydrated and healthy. Aim for at least eight glasses of water per day, and avoid sugary drinks and alcohol, which can dehydrate your skin.

Take vitamins: Certain vitamins and minerals can help promote healthy skin. Vitamin C, for example, can help boost collagen production and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin E can help protect your skin from damage caused by free radicals.

So many people experience dark circles and bags under the eyes at some point in their life. There are many reasons why you might end up with the dreaded circles and bags. I’ve personally had this issue for years and until recently found a solution that actually works. The purpose of this post is to share some causes and treatments I’ve learned along the way dealing with the challenge of dark circles and bags.

I’ll go through some reasons and also treatments when you suddenly have dark circles and bags show up.

Dark Circles Under Eyes – Causes and Treatments

Dark circles under your eyes can be caused by many things. Here are a few causes of sudden dark circles under the eyes I’ve found to be common:

Allergies

During allergy season, dark circles under the eyes may be visible. These circles may be caused by nasal congestion, a common allergy. The congestion will lead into the veins under your eyes. The veins will then dilate and darken creating puffiness and dark circles. If you suffer from allergies of any kind, it’s best to discuss it with your health care provider. There are many treatments that can be used to help you alleviate the symptoms.

For the last 10 years, until about a year ago, I could not step foot out of the house because the immediate allergic reaction. My days were ruined literally from just going outside once. My eyes and throat were itchy and I couldn’t stop sneezing. Even worse I could barely take a step anywhere before having to blow my nose yet again. I would have to immediately get up out of bed every morning and take an over-the-counter medicine.

Here are some of the things I’ve done personally to help alleviate my reaction to allergies which has also helped with my under-eye circles and bags.

If you have pets, do not let them sleep on your bed. We have a little 5-pound Yorkie that slept with us but little did we know, he was carrying the outside pollen into the onto our bed causing me to immediately have a reaction. The alternative would be to change your sheets often if you do have your pet sleep with you.

We also decided to remove the carpet in our room. Between foot traffic and what our Yorkie was carrying in we were living with never-ending vacuuming. We also changed our A/C filter often to keep the fresh air circulating properly along with an air purifier in the main bedroom.

Making those small changes helped me significantly. I still have reactions but it is night and day in comparison to what I endured the last few years.

Sleep Deprivation Leads To Dark Under Eye Circles

Many factors can cause dark circles under the eyes. Sleep deprivation, stress, and diet are a few of them. Having dark circles under your eyes is a telltale sign that you are not getting enough sleep. This can affect the health of your eyes as well as the way you look.

Sleep deprivation can cause side effects such as blood vessel dilation, puffy eyes and a droopy upper eyelid. Lack of sleep can also make it difficult to read, causing eyes to appear red and puffy. Eye infections can also be caused by a lack of sleep.

A good sleep schedule can prevent dark circles and a stress-free lifestyle will help reduce the appearance of under eye bags.

After having two kids, my sleep schedule had changed quite a bit. I woke up in the middle of the night and would have trouble falling back asleep. I had to do something differently. Lack of sleep was affecting my eyes, my mood and so much more. These are just a few things that have helped me have a better night’s rest.

Invest in a table top air humidifier. I have this on at night and slip a little lavender oil in it. It’s calming and it smells really good throughout the night. I also have an sound machine app you can put on to help with a good nights rest. Believe it or not, once I started using the sound machine even if I did wake up it would help me fall right back asleep.

Skin Genetics

Even if you’re suffering from dark circles under the eyes because of genetics there are many ways to treat the problem. To ensure the best treatment, you should consult a dermatologist. I have found using eye creams that contain vitamin C to lighten the area is a great start. A retinol cream can also be used to improve the texture and thickness of your skin.

Drinking lots of water and taking good care of your skin are the best ways to reduce under-eye bags. Sunscreen and sunglasses are essential to protect your eyes from the harmful effects of the sun and suppress the genetics inclination for eye bags.

Supplements can be beneficial for circulation. Eating more antioxidant-rich plant foods. A topical eye cream as part of your skincare routine can be an option and a massage of the area can help move congested body fluids out of the tissues.

Treatments to Get Rid of Your Sudden Under Eye Bags

There are many treatments that can help your restore your natural glow regardless of whether you’ve had dark circles all your life or in more recent years.

Treatment strategies must be tailored to your specific needs.

You may consult a dermatologist to determine whether laser treatment or other invasive procedures are right for your needs. Lasers can lighten under-eye skin, decreasing puffiness and improving circulation. Laser therapy can also reduce wrinkles. There’s also the options of injectables or dermal fillers depending on what your doctor may recommend.

There are also some lifestyle changes you can make to help reduce the appearance of these bags…

A daily skincare regimen with a sunblock with an SPF of 30 or more is also a good way to prevent sun damage and maintain hydration to the skin in the eye area. Taking a collagen every day will help your body retain hydration.

How to Prevent Puffy Eyes in Morning

Getting puffy eyes in the morning can be a big bummer. While the cause of puffy eyes is not completely understood, it is believed to be caused by poor quality sleep and fluid retention. Luckily, there are ways to combat this condition.

If you are suffering from puffy eyes, you should try removing all makeup and avoiding scented products before bed. You can also try using an antihistamine eye drop to clear up puffy eyes almost instantly. Cold compress on your eyes can be an additional alternative to get rid of the swelling. This will also help reduce the inflammation in the area. If your puffy eyes are more than just a minor nuisance, you may want to see a doctor.

One of the most obvious ways to cure puffy eyes in the morning is to drink plenty of water. Drinking water helps flush excess fluids and salt out of your body. Having water with you at all times can help you keep your eyes clear and hydrated throughout the day. Aside from drinking water, you can also avoid eating too much sodium. Salty foods have a hydrophilic property, which means they attract fluids. Too much salt can cause cells to fill up with excess water, which can lead to bloating and puffiness.

Another way to prevent puffy eyes in the morning is to sleep with your head elevated. Getting a good night’s sleep is crucial for your body to function properly. When you sleep, your body slows down and your heart rate decreases. This results in less blood circulation, which causes eyelid edema.

Collagen is a great way to help with puffy eyes. I take my collagen supplement at night because I do think it helps me have a better night’s rest. Collagen will help your body retain the water. If you have gut or digestive issues it may be best to take it first thing in the morning.

In the morning, I use an eye mask to help release the inflammation. Typically, eye masks are great because it provides immediate hydration. They are great for increasing brighter skin, lifts under eye creases, remove fine lines and winkles. Ultimately the help give your eyes the energy boost it needs to kick start your day.

My Five Steps With NuSkin Treatment For Dark Bags Under Eyes – It Works!

My skincare routine reducing the appearance of puffy eyes and restoring natural beauty glow consists of the following products. It has taken me a little time to create a routine that works for me.
Addressing Puffy Eyes In The Morning

Having puffy eyes in the morning is a common problem for many people. It can be caused by several different factors that we’ll cover in this post.

First and foremost, it’s important to get enough sleep to provide the proper rest for not only your overall well being but for your skin and eyes. Another important thing to consider is to avoid certain types of foods and drinks. This includes foods and drinks with high levels of sodium. Along these lines you should try to drink more water daily. We try our best but I know often its challenging to drink enough water.

Lastly, many may not know but allergies can be a key cause of puffy eyes. You may need to look into your allergies to see if this is a primary contributor to your puffy eyes in the morning.

morning eye puffiness

The Importance of Sleep For Skincare

Research shows that lack of sleep affects your mood. It can leave you feeling less than your best and contribute to problems like memory loss, forgetfulness, and irritability. It can also lead to premature aging and dark circles.

Getting enough sleep is important to your physical and mental health. Sleep helps you feel refreshed, gives your skin a healthy glow and is an essential part of your overall wellness. It helps your body fight disease, maintain a high energy level and improve your decision-making skills.

Sleep can also boost your immune system. A weak immune system can increase your risk of developing colds, influenza, and other illnesses. A study conducted at Harvard University found that people who sleep five hours or less per night are more likely to develop brain fog than those who get seven or eight hours.

Several studies show that poor sleep results in fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, and a decreased dermal organization leading to puffy eyes.

Drink more water

Having puffy eyes in the morning can be frustrating and cause insecurities. Aside from being an uncomfortable symptom, it can also be a sign of a more serious condition.

The first thing to keep in mind when it comes to puffy eyes is to drink plenty of water. The skin around the eyes is very delicate and needs to be hydrated properly. Water will also help the skin glow.

There are many ways to get the right amount of water in your diet. If you are dehydrated, your eyes are likely to become itchy, tired, and irritated. A good way to combat this is to drink at least 1.5 liters of water every day.

There are also several ways to keep your eyes moisturized. A good moisturizer will help to prevent allergens from getting into your skin. If you have a problem with puffy eyes, you may have a sensitive skin or allergic reaction to something.

Avoid high-sodium diets

Keeping a high sodium diet can increase your risk of developing high blood pressure, which is a leading cause of heart disease. To lower your risk, you should start by eating foods that are low in sodium. You can also read food labels to find out how much sodium you’re consuming.

Most Americans eat too much salt. Most of the sodium we eat comes from processed and packaged foods. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are so many better choices out there without the salt.

If you’re worried about sodium, you should choose foods that have less than 5% DV. You can also try combining lower-sodium versions of foods with the regular version. This is a great way to reduce sodium while still maintaining your taste buds.

You should also consider eating foods that have potassium. Potassium helps balance the amount of water in your body. This can also help to keep your puffy eyes from forming. Several foods that are good sources of potassium include bananas, avocados, and dark leafy green vegetables.

Apply cool compressions

Using cooling compresses for puffy eyes in the morning is one way to help you get back to sleep faster. Eyes that are swollen or red may indicate an underlying health condition. These are usually minor but can be annoying and disruptive. If you suffer from puffy eyes regularly, contact your eye doctor as it could be a sign of a serious problem.

Cold compresses can help you reduce puffiness, swollen eyelids, itchiness, and redness. They are also great for burning eyes and pink eye.

The most effective cold compresses are made with ice rollers. I found one on Amazon with great reviews.

Other options include eye masks, spoons to alleviate puffiness or taking collagen daily. You can also try out an eye cream or serum to help minimize the appearance of puffy eyes. In my previous post I list out the products I use daily to help reduce and cover my under eye puffiness.

Get a professional allergy test

Getting a professional allergy test for puffy eyes in the morning can help you find out what causes your symptoms. It can also help you get a treatment plan that will reduce your symptoms. Some things you may need to do include dietary changes, changes to your environment, or medications.

The allergy test may involve both skin and blood testing. In a skin test, small drops of a suspected allergen are placed on your skin. Then, a lab technician or phlebotomist draws a small amount of blood.

A positive test result indicates that your body has responded to the allergen. A negative result indicates that you do not have an allergy to the substance. Typically, a skin test is more accurate than a blood test.

Blood tests are more reliable for people who cannot get skin tests. They are also safer. In an allergy blood test, a phlebotomist takes blood from a vein in your arm. The blood is then collected in a vial or test tube.

I’ve recently put a greater focus on under eye glow. Between lack of sleep, not drinking enough water throughout my day and constantly scratching my eyes because of allergies, my eye baggage has gotten darker and definitely bigger. I’ve tried so many different products and I haven’t found one to make a noticeable improvement. I’ve realized through this process, that it’s not just about the products but more so the routine and working from the inside out to have an under eye glow.

We all want to see instant results and get that beauty glow, I get it, but we can be working on covering up our insecurities while also working on our daily routine to help improve it over time. In the meantime, I make sure to touch up right underneath my eyes with a few simple products before even leaving the house while also focusing on my day to day to see results overtime.

Where do dark circles and bags come from? Dark circles and bags are a result of several things. As you age, the tissue and muscle surrounding your eyes weaken. Your skin begins to sag and the space underneath your eyes gathers fluid. It can also be genetic. My dad growing up always had really dark and large bags so I always knew it would ultimately translate to me and my siblings. Congestion from my allergies have also played a pretty large role in my bags. I suffer from severe allergies. There are days in certain months where I can’t walk out of the house without experiencing severe reactions. It has gotten worse as I’ve gotten older and ever since I moved to TX. As a result, I’m constantly scratching my eyes which I’m sure doesn’t help. I can also attest to the lack of sleep and hydration. We all know how important sleep is to our overall health and drinking plenty of water can help with so many things. Being a mom of two and not being able to shut my brain off some nights, have resulted for very tired days.

I mentioned earlier I’m working from the inside out while also working on instant change. I want to break it down between the two and share more about the daily routine for long term improvement but also mention what you can do today to cover up the dark circles and bags.

We all know plenty of water and sleep are important for so many things. Everyday I make sure to drink a good amount of water. I’m not anywhere near what the daily recommendation is but I encourage myself to drink about 5-6 cups a day which is about 3 bottles of water. There are also supplements you can take to help retain water to stay hydrated, like collagen for example.

Did you know the body’s ability to produce collagen reduces significantly with age and it is a key factor for plump and elastic skin? A good collagen supplement will not only boost your skin’s ability to retain hydration overall, but can also help your under eye look thicker and more even in tone.

Then there’s sleep. We all know on average, we should get approximately 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night. We also know the less you’re able to sleep, the more it can contribute to your under eye bags. To help prevent bags and dark circles, you should also sleep on your back and prop your head up to help eliminate the fluid accumulating under your eye.

These are all the things you can work on as part of your daily routine to help improve your under eye bags and dark circles over time. In the meantime, here are 5 products I use twice a day to help cover both the under eye bags and the dark circles.

1. LumiSpa Eye Attachment – Used twice a day, the LumiSpa eye attachment exfoliates delicate skin around your eyes. Used together, Accent & IdealEyes cream reduce the appearance of dark circles, under eye bags and puffiness while firming the skin and visibly lifting your upper eyelids.

2. Tru Face Line Corrector – helps soften the appearance of moderate to deep lines around your mouth, eyes, and forehead. This targeted approach helps diminish the most aggressive signs of aging while still being gentle and safe for all skin types.

3. Tula Cooling Eye Balm – This is the first product I use in my daily routine. The cooling balm provides a glow while hydrating and cooling it also helps reduce the look of fine lines & wrinkles around the eyes.

4. Charlotte Tilberry – I use this magic eraser/color corrector to help brighten the dark circle and even out my skin tone.

5. Nuskin Bright Eyes – I use this everyday to brighten underneath my eyes. It has a peach tone to it so I use the bright eyes cream when I’m not wearing any makeup just to cover up the dark circles or before I put on my makeup. It’s very lightweight, creamy eye cream. The formula also works to smooth away the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eye.

It does take a few tries to find a routine and the right products that work for you. In the long run, for me, it’s really about what is saving me time and am I going to feel better about it a year from now. It all takes time but consistency is key to achieve an under eye glow with a consistent routine. Adjust when needed whether that’s life or products but overall stay consistent and you’ll notice a change.

It’s no surprise collagen is a hot topic nowadays. A large amount of people are taking the supplement due to the clinically proven results. Whether you’re wanting longer hair or nails, brighter skin or a boost in elasticity, collagen is the go to for it all. It’s the key to creating a beautiful glow from the inside out.

I’ve personally noticed an incredibly brighter skin. My skin has a glow to it without any makeup which has given me a boost in confidence. One of the greatest bonuses from taking the collagen, is it makes my makeup look so much nicer and more radiant. My skin is hydrated, moisturized and a lot smoother just 2 weeks from adding it to my daily routine.

So what is collagen?

Collagen is an important structural protein found throughout your skin, bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. As an adult, your body produces about 1.5% less collagen every year. This means that adding extra collagen to your diet can be vital for your skin and body to function ideally.

I wanted to try a product that focused more on my skin and helped support my daily skincare routine. I tried the Beauty Focus Collagen from Nuskin and it’s exactly what I was looking for in a supplement. I noticed a difference in my skin in just two weeks. I know what you’re saying…how is this any different from other product?

Nuskin sees the power in not just the collagen but also the peptides. Collagen peptides are a better way to supplement because they are more digestible, better absorbed and better distributed throughout your body. Plus, while regular collagen provides the building blocks for your skin, collagen peptides actually stimulate skin to create more collagen as well.

Here’s a list of the benefits from taking the Collagen daily:

Skin is hydrated and feels moisturized

Boosts collagen levels and elastin production

Clinically proven to help you look more youthful

Helps visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles

Helps improve skin health and prepare skin for better complementary benefits

I really love the results and it’s a pretty good tasty treat. What I love is I don’t have to mix it with any drink. I can take it like I would drink a smoothie and go about my day. Starting December we will have a new strawberry flavor. I can’t wait!

Invest in your overall health including your skin. Buying skincare products will help increase your skin health but what about taking care of what helps reproduce and replenish your skin so it can support your a beautiful glowing skin.

For some, makeup may just be a day to day routine. It’s something you put on because you get a little extra glow, a confidence booster or in all honesty hide what you don’t like. A lot of us rely on makeup to make us fell better and it certainly has the power to change your look which plays into your confidence. I’m also that girl that needs just a little something to hide my under eye bags and shape my eyebrows. I can’t apply it too much to where it makes me look completely different or I’m going out until 3am.

For others, makeup is a passion. People do research and spend a ton of money on different types of makeup. They play around with different colors and techniques like it’s a Saturday morning at the park. They enjoy the creativity. Personally I enjoy watching people that truly like the makeup routine. I certainly don’t have the time and it’s not something I would declare as a passion or large interest of mine. I do however rely on it to not scare anyone when I walk out of the door. I enjoy it enough to go explore different products but that’s the extent of it.

With that being said, my inventory has grown quite a bit and it is ultimately all laid out in a drawer. I had no idea how to make it work for me and organize it all in a way that would make sense. I had to figure something out because more often than not I found myself frustrated because I couldn’t find something.

I needed a makeup organizing solution that supports a natural beauty glow.

I did have to find a separate solution for some of my unique sized items like my eye lash curler, bronzer and blending sponge. For any of those lingering items, I purchased a clear organizing container to put in my drawer. It works great. I can open the drawer and find minimal items that won’t take me too long to grab.

Here are my four tips for organizing your makeup:

Like any other organization project you have to know what you have today. Looking through products you can toss out or keep would help determine what you’ll need to organize it all. Makeup has an expiration date so make sure you clean out what you haven’t used in over 6 months.

Once everything is cleaned out, I like to then categorize the makeup by application. All of my foundations, all of my concealers, lipsticks, etc. If you don’t have a ton of make up to work with, you may not need to do this step.

Because I’m middle ground when it comes to makeup, I had to find something that would be large enough to hold my everyday makeup but cute enough to put on my bathroom counter. For me it’s about convenience and time. Having a makeup organizer on my counter gives me easy access and it saves me time because I know where everything is.

Amazon is my friend. After going through a typical acrylic makeup organizer which didn’t give me what I was looking for, I found this adorable makeup organizer that put all my day to day items on display and available when I needed them. What’s perfect about it is the look and the size. It’s not too big, not that much room to fit anything else which is perfect and looks great on my bathroom counter.

It’s all about what works for you and making everything easier for the day to day when it comes to your makeup organizing solution. Don’t waste time trying to find your concealer or lip gloss. Organizing may be a tall order but at the end it’s providing you with an organizing solution that will give you back the gift of time.
